Our office for Growthmap International is at Padma Nivas. You can find us right behind JG College in the Vidyanagar area of Hubli. It’s a nice part of town and being near the college means there is always a lot of energy around. Our building is more like a house that we turned into a workspace. It feels a bit more comfortable than a cold office building. We do a lot of planning and mapping out business growth for people. It is mostly us sitting around a table with notebooks and laptops. We don’t have a receptionist or anything like that. If the bell rings one of us just gets up to see who it is. Hubli is a bit slower than Bangalore and we like that pace. We can actually get work done without too many distractions. There’s a small garden area out front where we sometimes take our tea breaks. Sometimes the neighbors’ cows wander past the gate which is just how things are around here. We are not trying to be a huge global firm with fancy suits. We just work with the clients we have and try to give them decent advice. The floors are a bit creaky in Padma Nivas but it has character. We’ve been here in Vidyanagar for a bit and plan to stay for the foreseeable future because it suits us just fine.
