Greenish International

Our shop is located at 17 Ramamurthy Nagar on Karve Road. We started Greenish International because we just liked working with plants and outdoor stuff. It’s not a very big place, but we keep it pretty full of things. The sun hits the front of the shop quite hard in the afternoons, so we spend a lot of time watering and moving things into the shade. People stop by while they’re out on Karve Road to ask about what grows well in small pots on balconies. Most of us here have dirt under our fingernails most of the time. It’s a bit messy with the bags of soil and the plastic pots stacked up in the corner. We don’t really do much in the way of fancy displays. It’s more about having what people need for their gardens or for a bit of greenery inside their flats. Ramamurthy Nagar is a busy area, so there’s always noise from the street coming in. We’ve gotten used to it. Sometimes we get shipments that take all morning to unload, and the sidewalk gets a bit crowded. We just try to keep things organized so we can find the right seeds or tools when someone asks. It’s a simple operation really. We just show up, look after the plants, and talk to the neighbors who wander in. Most days we are just busy cleaning up the leaves and keeping the pots tidy.
