Granites Transporters

Our office is on the first floor over on Jaya Chamarajendra Road. Being near Swastik Hotel makes it easy for the drivers to find us. This area is always crowded with vehicles and people moving things. We deal with moving granite slabs, which is heavy and slow work. Most of the day is spent on the phone or talking to the guys about the routes. The trucks are usually parked elsewhere because JC Road is too tight for them. We spend a lot of time looking at schedules and trying to figure out the best timing for the city traffic. It is a dusty job, mostly because of the nature of the stone. We have some old desks and a lot of files piled up. The stairs to the first floor are a bit steep. You can hear the noise from the street all day long. Sometimes the rain slows everything down and we just sit and wait it out. It is not a glamorous business, just moving heavy things from one place to another. We have been in this building for a while now. The walls could use some paint, but we are too busy to worry about that. We just focus on getting the loads delivered without any cracks or problems. It takes a lot of patience to manage the logistics every single day without getting too stressed out.
