Grandma Impex, Jalandhar

The name says Grandma Impex, Jalandhar, but we are actually based down in Bangalore at the S8M Colony. It’s a bit of a funny situation because people expect us to be up north, but we’ve been here in Karnataka for a while. Our office is in a quiet colony where not much happens. We do impex work, which means we spend a lot of time looking at manifests and shipping labels. The space we have is small and filled with various items we are moving. We don't have any high-tech systems, just a couple of old computers and some notebooks where we write everything down. The office has a very relaxed feel. We usually start the day a bit late and stay until the work is finished. There’s no dress code or anything like that. We just wear what’s comfortable for moving boxes around. The weather in Bangalore is a lot nicer than Jalandhar, which we definitely appreciate. We don't have a big billboard or any ads. Most people find us through word of mouth or our old connections. Sometimes we have tea together in the afternoon and talk about the news. It’s a very simple operation and we like to keep it that way. We don't have any big plans to expand or get a fancy office. We just want to keep doing our work in S8M Colony like we always have.
