Grand Wood Furnitures

We are located at 484 Bellandur in the VGR Building, over in the Oshiwara part of the neighborhood. The workshop is usually full of sawdust and the smell of freshly cut wood. We spend most of our time measuring planks and putting different pieces of furniture together by hand. It gets pretty loud with the saws running, especially in the middle of the day when we have a lot of orders. Bellandur is a very busy place these days with all the traffic and new buildings going up everywhere. Our spot in the VGR Building is where all the physical work happens. We have a few guys here who have been working with wood for many years. They really know how to handle the tools. This isn't a shiny showroom like the ones you see in the big malls. It is more of a practical space where we actually build things from scratch. We take orders, look at sketches, and try to get the dimensions exactly right. Sometimes we run out of a certain type of timber and have to wait a few days for the truck to arrive. It is a messy job but we enjoy seeing the final product. We mostly focus on making items that are sturdy enough to last a long time. People often come by to check on their orders or to ask if we can fix an old table. (247 words)
