We just try to make food that reminds people of what they might eat at home. It’s not about being a gourmet kitchen; it’s about the kind of cooking that doesn't need a lot of explanation. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen working on basic recipes that have been around for a long time. The space is simple and we don't put much effort into being trendy. We’d rather focus on the ingredients and making sure the flavors are right for the day. It gets a bit crowded in this lane sometimes, but people usually find their way to us. The staff here are like a small family, and we all pitch in with whatever needs doing, whether it’s taking orders or cleaning up after a rush. We don’t have fancy brochures or a big marketing plan. We just open the doors every day and start cooking. It’s hard work and the hours are long, but we like seeing people enjoy a meal that isn't complicated.
