Grand Chef Indian Foods is located on the third floor of Devaiah Court. That’s at No. 4/1 on 22nd Cross in the 3rd Block of Jayanagar. Being on the third floor means we get a decent view of the street below, which is usually full of people walking to the nearby shops or parks. Jayanagar is a pretty green area, so there are plenty of trees lining the road, but the traffic on the cross-streets can be a bit of a headache during rush hour. Our office space is quite functional. We have some kitchen equipment for testing things and several desks for the administrative side of the food business. It’s not a very big place, so we all end up knowing what everyone else is doing. The lift in Devaiah Court is a bit slow, so many of us just take the stairs if we aren't carrying anything heavy. We spend our days discussing recipes, checking on suppliers, and managing the logistics of our products. It’s a lot of back-and-forth communication. The light in the office is okay, though it gets a bit dim in the afternoons. We have a small corner where we keep the kettle and some biscuits for the afternoon break. It’s a comfortable enough spot to work, even if it’s a bit cramped when we have a lot of samples lying around. We just focus on the work and try to keep things running smoothly.
