Gowri Mohan Paying Guest

We run Gowri Mohan Paying Guest over at 30 Anand Nagar, right near Athrai College. Since we are so close to the college, we mostly have students living with us. It’s a lively place because of that, though it can get pretty noisy when exams are over or during the weekends. We try to keep the building in decent shape, but with so many young people coming and going, there’s always something that needs fixing. A door handle might get loose or a lightbulb goes out, and we have to get it sorted quickly. We provide the basics like meals and a place to sleep. The kitchen is usually the busiest part of the house, especially in the mornings when everyone is rushing to get to class. We aren't a hotel, so things are pretty casual here. We know most of the residents by name and we see them every day. The rooms are simple, just enough for a bed and a desk for studying. We’ve been doing this for several years now and have seen many batches of students move in and out. Anand Nagar is a nice enough area, and being near the college makes it convenient for everyone. We spend our time making sure the water is running and the food is edible. It’s a lot of routine work, but it keeps the place running for the kids who stay with us. That is just our daily life.
