Goutham Sound & Lights

We are located at Sivan Chetty Gardens number 3. It's a place where we keep all the big speakers and the lighting rigs for various parties and local festivals. It’s a lot of heavy lifting, to be honest. My back usually aches by the end of a long Saturday night. We have these big black boxes stacked up to the ceiling and miles of cables that always seem to get tangled no matter how carefully we wrap them. It's a small team, mostly just me and a few local boys who help load the van. We do a lot of weddings and community events around this part of town. Sometimes we have to set up in the rain which is never fun when you are dealing with electricity. The shop itself is mostly a garage where we test the bulbs and make sure the amplifiers aren't making that weird buzzing sound. It gets pretty loud when we are testing everything out, and I’m sure the neighbors don’t always appreciate it. But we've been here a while so they are used to us. It’s not a fancy business with a receptionist or anything like that. You usually just find me in the back with a soldering iron fixing a broken connection. We just focus on getting the equipment where it needs to go and making sure the lights actually turn on when someone flips the switch.
