Gourmet Express Pvt Ltd

We are located over on Tilak Road 44 in Kacharakanahalli. Even though the name Gourmet Express Pvt Ltd sounds a bit formal, we are actually just a bunch of people working hard in a kitchen environment. Most of our day is spent prepping ingredients and making sure the orders are ready for the drivers. Tilak Road can get pretty jammed up, so we are always watching the clock. The building at number 44 is where all the hard work happens. We have large ovens and prep tables that take up most of the room. There is always the sound of knives chopping or timers going off. It gets pretty loud and humid in there when we are in the middle of a rush. We don’t really have a seating area for customers; it’s more about getting the food out the door. We handle a lot of phone calls and screen orders throughout the shift. It’s a lot of coordination between the kitchen staff and the people doing the deliveries. Sometimes we run out of specific items and have to scramble to find a replacement. Kacharakanahalli is a good area to be in because it’s central for us. We just keep our heads down and focus on the tasks at hand. It’s not a glamorous job, but we like the pace and the fact that there is always something to do. By the end of the shift, we are usually pretty tired but ready to do it again tomorrow.
