Goswami Furniture

Goswami Furniture is located in the Gopal Reddy Building, at number 104/5. We are tucked right behind Meenakshi Hardware on Taverekere Main Road, so you have to look closely to find the entrance sometimes. It’s a busy little area, and we’re often crowded in with all the stock we have. We started this place because we knew how to work with wood and figured we could make a go of it. The shop is full of the smell of sawdust and varnish, which I’ve gotten used to after all these years. We don't have a lot of space for a fancy display, so everything is kind of stacked together. You might have to move a few stools to see the wardrobes in the back. My hands are usually stained with something, whether it’s glue or polish, but that’s how you know we’re actually working. We don't spend money on big signs or anything like that. Word of mouth usually brings people in. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait it out, but we try to stay on schedule. It’s a simple operation run by people who actually live around here. We know most of the shop owners on this block. If you’re looking for something specific, just ask and we’ll see if we can put it together for you in the workshop. We don't mind a challenge and we work until the sun goes down most days.
