Gokul Computers

Our shop, Gokul Computers, is located at 14/2 Magadi Road. This part of Gandhinagar is always moving, especially since we are right on the Bavla Highway. If you are looking for us, we are quite near the Ganesha Temple. You can usually hear the bells or see the people visiting there from our front door. The highway makes things pretty noisy with all the trucks and buses going past all day long. The dust is a bit of a problem because of all the traffic, so we are always wiping down the computer screens. It’s not a very big place, just enough room for the counter and some shelves with parts and cables. We spend a lot of time just sitting behind the desk waiting for the next thing to do. The temple nearby gives the whole area a specific kind of feel, especially during festivals when the road gets completely blocked. We just work through the noise and the heat. There’s a small place to get tea around the corner which is where we spend our breaks. It’s a very local kind of setup. Nothing like those big shops in the city centers. We just keep the computers going and watch the highway traffic go by the front window. Sometimes the temple monkeys come near the door but they usually stay away.
