Working at Jayanagar 3rd Cross 278 means dealing with a lot of people every single day. We are right in the middle of everything. Our shop isn't very big, so when we get four or five people inside at once, it feels crowded. We spend most of our time staring at small screens and tiny circuit boards. Fixing phones is fiddly work and it takes a lot of patience. Sometimes a customer brings in a phone that looks like it fell off a building, and we have to tell them it might not make it. We also sell recharge cards and basic accessories like those cheap plastic cases and screen guards. The shelves behind the counter are a bit of a mess with all the different cables and chargers we keep in stock. We try to keep track of it all, but things get moved around during the busy hours. Jayanagar is always noisy, and we usually have the radio playing in the background to drown out the traffic. We get people from the neighborhood stopping by just to ask a quick question about their settings. It is a simple life here. We open up, fix what we can, sell a few things, and go home. There is always a stack of broken screens in the bin by the end of the week. We have been here quite a while now and the street hasn't changed much.
