Global Mobile Tech

Down in Koramangala, at Ghodasar 1007, you can find our little tech spot. Global Mobile Tech is basically a room full of tiny screws, soldering irons, and screens. It is not a shiny showroom. We have workbenches that have seen better days and parts scattered everywhere. Most people come in because they dropped their phone or the battery stopped holding a charge. We spend hours looking through microscopes or trying to get a charging port to work again. Koramangala is a busy area, so there is always noise from the street coming inside. We don't really have a set routine. One day is all about screen replacements and the next is trying to recover data from a water-damaged device. It can be frustrating when a part doesn't fit or a repair takes longer than expected. We drink a lot of coffee to stay focused. Our shop isn't big, so if more than four people are inside, it feels very crowded. We try to be honest with people about what can be fixed and what is just junk. It is a decent living and we enjoy the challenge of figuring out what is wrong with a piece of electronics. The neighbors are nice and we often chat with the shop owners next door during our breaks. We just keep tinkering away until the jobs are done.
