Gkn Rao Stores

The shop is right here in Mathikere 793. Most days start pretty early because that is when people need stuff before they head off to work. Gkn Rao Stores is just a small place, really. We spend a lot of time just moving boxes around and making sure the shelves aren't empty for the regulars. Mathikere has changed a lot since we first opened the doors, but the building is still the same old spot. Sometimes the rain comes in a bit under the front door if it’s heavy, so we keep some old towels handy for that. It’s not a fancy place at all. My nephew helps out on weekends when it gets busy with the local families coming in for their groceries. We know most people around here by their first names or at least what they usually buy on a Tuesday. It gets a bit dusty because of the road work nearby, so there is always cleaning to do. We don't have a big team or any corporate rules, just a few of us making sure things run okay. People stop by to chat as much as they do to shop. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit there with a torch until it comes back on. It is a quiet life for the most part. We just keep the lights on and wait for the next person to walk through the door. Mathikere 793 is where you can find us if you are ever walking past. Nothing more to it than that, really.
