Ghatge Patil Tranport Ltd is located in the Bommasandra Industrial Area. We are right in Ghodasar, opposite the SKF factory, which is a huge place that everyone knows. Being in an industrial zone means it’s always loud with the sound of machinery and big engines idling. Our yard is usually busy with trucks coming in to unload or getting ready for a long trip across the state. The air smells like tires and exhaust most of the time. I work from a small office near the main gate where I can see who is coming and going. There is always a lot of paperwork with logbooks, manifests, and fuel receipts piled up on my desk. I talk to the drivers all day, hearing about the roads and the traffic problems they ran into. It’s a tough business because things are always changing and you have to keep track of so many moving parts at once. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s just a working transport hub where things get moved from one place to another. I spend a lot of time on the phone or out in the yard checking the loads. It is a gritty, everyday kind of job that never really stops, even when the sun goes down and the night shift takes over to keep the shipments moving. We just keep the gate open for the next truck.
