Ghatge & Patil Transport

Our office is tucked away at 3 O T C Road on Sultanpet Main Road. It’s right behind the Lalbaghvenkatram Temple, so we hear the bells and prayers every day which is actually quite nice compared to the noise of the trucks outside. The Sultanpet area is always crowded. There are people moving boxes, carts everywhere, and the roads are pretty narrow for the amount of traffic they get. It can be a real headache to navigate sometimes, especially in the afternoons when everyone is trying to finish their deliveries. We have been operating from this spot for a good number of years. It’s a plain office with a few desks and some old files stacked up in the corners. We spend most of our time on the phone or talking to drivers who come in to pick up paperwork before heading out. Being behind the temple makes it a bit quieter than being right on the main junction, but it’s still Sultanpet. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we are usually too busy with the daily logistics to worry about that. Most people find us because they know the temple or they’ve been told where we sit by one of our regular clients. It’s not a fancy corporate office with air conditioning and glass doors. It’s just a practical space where we get the work done and make sure the transport keeps moving. We drink a lot of tea from the stall around the corner while we wait for the next load to arrive and the streets to clear up a bit.
