General Security Service

General Security Service is based at 270/2 Narasimahaya Street in A Narayana Puram. We are part of the K.R. Puram area of Bangalore. Our office is a simple place where we manage all the schedules and staff. It’s not much to look at, just some chairs and a big whiteboard where we keep track of who is working where. We provide guards for various spots around the city. Managing people and their timings is a lot of work. There are always phone calls coming in about shifts or someone needing a replacement. We have been here for a good while. The neighborhood knows us as the security guys. It’s a serious job, but we try to keep a relaxed environment in the office. Sometimes it gets stressful when we have to fill a spot at the last minute. We don't have a big corporate office in a glass building. We are right here on the ground, dealing with the daily realities of security work. K.R. Puram is a busy hub, so there is always movement around us. We have a small cupboard for uniforms and a desk that is always covered in logbooks. That’s about it. We don't go for flashy stuff. We just focus on getting the right people to the right places every day. It's a lot of coordination, but we have a system that works for us. The tea guy comes by at four, which is usually the highlight of the afternoon.
