Gems Pre School

Gems Pre School is located at Building No.614 on 8th Street in the Isro Layout area of Jp Nagar. It is a quiet residential part of Bangalore 560078, which is nice for a school with little kids. The building is a regular house that has been converted into a space for children to spend their mornings. We have painted some of the walls with colors and shapes to make it look a bit more cheerful for them. There is a small gate at the front where the parents drop off the toddlers every morning around nine. Most of the teachers are local ladies who have a lot of patience. We have some toys scattered around and little chairs that fit the kids. It can get pretty loud when everyone is playing at once, but that is just how it is with pre-schoolers. We don't follow any corporate manual; we just look after the children and teach them their letters and numbers. Sometimes we have snacks together or play out in the small yard when the weather is not too hot. It feels more like a big family than a formal school. We try to keep the parents updated when they come by in the afternoon to take their kids home. It is a simple, practical place for the neighborhood families to rely on. There is nothing too fancy about it, just a safe spot for the children to be during the day.
