Gearge

Gearge is situated in Chinnappa Garden, right next to Saint Paul Church. If you can find the church, you have pretty much found our location at Steallo. It is a local neighborhood in Bangalore where most of the residents know each other by name. We spend the majority of our day inside the shop. It is not a massive space, but it holds everything we need to get our work done. The church bells ring at set times throughout the day, which is a nice rhythm to work to. We see a lot of different people coming through the door. Some are just passing by on their way somewhere else, while others have lived in Chinnappa Garden for their whole lives. Our staff is small, so we handle everything ourselves. There is always some dust coming in from the road, so we spend a fair amount of time cleaning the counters and the windows. We don't use much in the way of high-tech systems here. Most of what we do is manual and straightforward. In the hot afternoons, the old ceiling fans are always running to keep the air moving. People often stop in just to say hello or have a quick chat about the weather. That is just how the atmosphere is around here. We have been in this spot for a while and we like the local feel of the street. It is honest, daily work for us.
