Gaytri International School

Our school sits right on Thalaghattapura Main Road, which has become a very busy place lately. If you know the Kanakapura Road area, we are just a short distance from the main junction. Numbers 19/1 and 19/2 are the plots where we spend most of our waking hours. The classrooms are filled with old wooden desks and chairs that have been around for years. We try to keep everything clean and tidy, but you can definitely tell that many generations of kids have studied here. There is almost always a lot of noise coming from the road outside, especially when those heavy lorries go past. We have a small area near the main gate where the students wait for their parents to pick them up in the evening. It gets pretty crowded and a bit chaotic around three or four in the afternoon. Inside the building, the walls are painted a simple light color and we have some charts and maps pinned up on the boards. It isn't a very complicated or modern place. We have a small office where we keep all the files and the landline phone. Sometimes the internet connection acts up, especially when it rains, but we just manage with what we have. The staff room is a bit tight, so we usually end up standing in the hallway to have our tea and a quick chat. We follow the same routine every day, from the morning assembly to the final bell. People from the neighborhood often stop by to ask about admissions or just to say hello.
