Gayatri Higher Primary School

Our school, Gayatri Higher Primary School, is tucked away in Uttarahalli on Veeranjanaya Temple Street. It’s a busy little corner of Bangalore, especially near Subramanyapura Main Road. We have been at this No 32 address for a good while. Every morning, the street gets crowded with parents dropping off their kids before they head to work. It’s a local school, so most of the children live just a few blocks away. We focus on the primary years, which are usually the loudest and most active. The building isn't huge, but it fits everyone. We have our routines, from the morning assembly to the final bell in the afternoon. Living and working in Bangalore means we are used to the traffic and the noise outside, but we try to keep the atmosphere inside focused on the books. The teachers here are mostly from the nearby areas too. It feels like a small community. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. People just find us by word of mouth or by seeing the sign when they walk past the temple. The address 560061 is home to us. Sometimes the rainy season makes things a bit messy on the street, but the kids don't seem to mind. We just keep things simple and do our best with the space we have at Gayatri Higher Primary School. It’s a lot of responsibility looking after young kids, but it’s what we do every day for the families here.
