Gauge 16 Steelfabs is situated at number 17 on the 8th Main in the Banashankari 2nd Stage industrial area. It’s a busy part of Bangalore, and our street is always lined with trucks and piles of raw materials. Steel fabrication is what we do, so our place is full of welding equipment, cutting tools, and heavy sheets of metal. It’s loud, and there are sparks flying in the corners of the workshop most of the time. We aren’t a big corporation with fancy titles. We’re just a team of people who know how to work with steel. The layout of the shop is a bit messy, but we know exactly where every tool is kept. Sometimes we have to work late to finish a project, and the sound of the hammers continues well into the evening. We don’t spend time making ourselves sound like some global leader in the industry. We just take the orders, do the fabrication, and make sure the customer gets what they asked for. The weather in Bangalore is usually nice, which helps because the workshop is open to the air to keep the fumes out.
