Gardencity Aromatics

If you come down to 18/1 on the 1st Cross Artillery Road in Gowthamapuram, you’ll find Gardencity Aromatics. We are right there in the Ulsoor area, which has its own unique feel. The street is a bit narrow and tucked away from the main traffic, which is actually quite nice. You can usually tell you’re getting close because of the different smells in the air. We work with all sorts of oils and scents, so the smell sticks to your clothes by the end of the day. Our building is an old one, and it has these high ceilings that keep it relatively cool even when it's hot outside. We spend a lot of our time blending things and checking the inventory in the back. It’s a very hands-on type of job. There are no fancy labels or marketing teams here. It’s just us, some glass bottles, and a lot of scales for measuring. We’ve been in Ulsoor for quite a few years and we’ve seen the shops around us change hands many times. The artillery road has its own history, and we feel like a small part of that now. Most of our day is spent in the workshop area rather than at a desk. We don’t have a big sign outside, just a small one by the door. People who need to find us usually know the way already. It’s a quiet, steady kind of business for us and we like working in this neighborhood.
