Garabasa Adibasi Primary School

Garabasa Adibasi Primary School is located on the 1st floor of building number 57/1 in Banaswadi. We are right in the middle of the neighborhood, so it is quite convenient for the local families. The school isn't very large. It’s basically a few rooms converted into classrooms where we teach the younger kids. We’ve been in this spot for a while now. Most of our students come from the nearby streets. Being on the first floor means it stays a bit cooler than the ground floor, which is good during the summer months. We don't have a big yard for playing, so the children usually stay inside or we take them for short walks nearby. It’s a simple setup. We have some wooden benches and old-fashioned blackboards. The teachers here live nearby and know most of the parents by name. We spend our days teaching the basics like reading, writing, and some basic math. It gets a bit noisy when the classes are changing, but generally, it’s a calm place. We don't do much advertising or anything like that. People just find us by word of mouth in the Banaswadi area. It’s just a place where kids can come to learn in a familiar environment. We open the doors early in the morning and finish up by mid-afternoon. There isn't much more to it than that. We just provide a space for learning.
