Ganjam Nagappa & Sons (P) Ltd. sits at 63, Palace Road in Vasanthnagar. We are right opposite the Police Commissioner's Office, so it’s a very easy landmark for anyone trying to find us. The road is always busy, and there’s a constant flow of cars and people. Our building has a certain weight to it, being in such an old part of the city. Inside, it’s a bit quieter than the street, but you can still hear the city hum. We’ve got high ceilings and some old furniture that we haven't bothered to replace because it still works fine. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we all know each other’s habits. We don't use a lot of fancy technology for everything; some things are still done the old way because it feels more reliable. The walk from the gate to the front door is short, but we have some plants there that we try to keep alive. It’s a bit of a formal atmosphere because of the location and the history of the name, but we’re actually pretty casual once you get talking to us. We spend the day handling the business side of things, making sure everything is where it should be. It’s a solid place to work. Palace Road has changed a lot over the years, but our spot remains pretty much the same.
