Ganesh Maruthi Rice Point is located in Bhuvaneshwari Nagar, right on Dasarahalli Main Road at 14th Cross. Our address is 17/1, and we’ve been here for a good bit of time. We mostly deal with different types of rice and grains. It’s heavy work, moving those big sacks around all day. The shop smells like raw grain and jute bags, which is something you get used to pretty fast. We get families from all over the Hebbal area coming in for their monthly supplies. We aren't a big supermarket; we’re just a local point where you can get what you need without much fuss. The floor is usually a bit dusty from the rice, and we have a big weighing scale that’s seen a lot of use over the years. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the road for a minute when they’re dropping off new stock, which can be a bit of a headache for the neighbors. We try to keep the prices where they should be so our neighbors can afford to eat well. It’s a family-run kind of thing. We don’t spend money on fancy ads. We just hope that if someone likes the quality of the rice, they’ll tell their cousin or their neighbor. That’s how we’ve kept going this long in this spot. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us busy from morning until evening. We just keep our heads down and serve the people who walk in.
