We are right in the heart of the Majestic area, located at 11, 4th Cross in RK Puram. If you’re looking for us, just find Movieland Theatre and we are right opposite that. It’s a very loud part of Bangalore with all the buses and people coming from the railway station. We handle crates and crates of eggs every single day. The trucks arrive early in the morning, sometimes before the sun is even up, and we have to get everything unloaded and stacked. It’s a lot of physical work, and you have to be careful not to break anything. The shop is basically just a storage space filled with trays. We sell to local restaurants, small grocery stores, and people just walking by who need a dozen for home. The smell of the market is always there, and the noise from the cinema across the street is constant, especially when a new movie comes out. We don’t have any fancy displays or anything like that. It’s just us, the eggs, and the customers. Most of our regulars have been coming here for years because they know we are always here. It’s a straightforward job. You count the eggs, pack them up, and move on to the next customer. The floor is usually covered in some straw from the crates, and we spend a good chunk of our afternoon cleaning up and getting ready for the next delivery of fresh stock from the farms.
