About Galaxy Urdu Primary School – Education in Bengaluru
Our school is tucked away in the Dollars Scheme area, specifically at 2nd and 3rd units on 2nd Cross, 36th Main. It’s a bit quieter here than the main roads of Bangalore. Being a primary school, the halls are usually filled with the sound of kids reciting their Urdu lessons or running around during the short intervals. The building is older, so the walls have that lived-in look. We don't have a huge playground, so the children usually play in the small open space we have out front or in the corridors when it's too hot outside. Most of the staff live nearby, so we all know the neighbors pretty well. Sometimes the milkman or the vegetable seller passes by right when we are in the middle of a class. The furniture is mostly wooden and has been around for years. We spend a lot of time making sure the children are focusing on their handwriting. In the afternoons, the sun hits the back windows quite strongly, so we have to pull the curtains. It gets a bit stuffy in the summer months, but we have enough fans to keep the air moving. Parents often stop by the gate to chat after school lets out. We don’t have a big reception area, just a desk near the entrance where we sit. It’s a simple setup at Galaxy Urdu Primary School, and we just do our work day by day, making sure the kids learn what they need to.
