Down here on the ground floor at 69/1 Sadar Patrappa Road, it is always a bit chaotic. Dange Chowk is a noisy spot, but we are used to the sound of traffic while we work on laptops and desktops. There are usually parts scattered on the benches and a few screens waiting for parts to arrive. We have been at this location for some time now, just fixing things as they come in. Sometimes a motherboard takes all day, other times it is just a quick software fix. We don't have much room for fancy decorations, just shelves full of cables and old monitors. People walk in from the street with all kinds of broken gear. It gets pretty dusty with all the fans running inside the machines. We drink a lot of tea while waiting for files to copy or updates to finish. The lighting isn't the best, but we have enough desk lamps to see the tiny screws. It’s a simple shop where we just focus on getting the hardware to turn on again. Some days are slower than others, which gives us time to clear out the old scrap. If you come by Dange Chowk, you'll see us there among the stacks of keyboards. It is just a regular place where we spend our hours surrounded by circuits and wires.
