G K K Tent House

Our tent house is located at 22 Kamanahalli Main Road in Ghatlodiya. We are quite close to the Venkateshwara Theater in the 560084 area. It’s not really an office, it’s more of a place where we store all our equipment. We have piles of metal poles, rolls of colorful cloth, and hundreds of plastic chairs stacked up. Most of our actual work happens at other people’s houses or in open grounds where they are having an event. We have a small group of guys who handle all the heavy lifting and the loading of the trucks. Setting up a big tent takes a lot of time and sweat, especially when the weather is hot. We’ve been working in this neighborhood for many years now. Most of our customers are just local families who need some extra chairs or a canopy for a small function at home. We don't spend any money on advertising. People just know where we are because of the theater nearby. Sometimes we have to work through the night to make sure everything is ready for a morning wedding. It’s a lot of physical labor and we are usually tired by the end of the week. We just try to keep the equipment in good shape and fix any tears in the fabric ourselves. It’s a very practical kind of business. We just do the work and move on to the next job when it comes.
