Futures & Careers

Futures & Careers is based out of Yelahanka New Town, specifically over in Budhwar Peth at 18/1. It’s a bit of a trek for some people, but it’s a good spot for us. The office is on a street that gets quite busy when the local market is in full swing. We have a few rooms filled with desks and a lot of paperwork that seems to multiply overnight. The walls are a plain off-white color, and we have a few plants that we occasionally remember to water. It’s not a high-tech environment with glass walls; it’s more about wooden desks and folders. We drink a lot of water from the dispenser in the hallway. Sometimes the neighbors’ dog barks at the delivery bikes, which we’ve all just gotten used to. We don’t have a formal waiting area with magazines, just a few plastic chairs for anyone who drops by. The light in the afternoon hits the windows just right, making it pretty warm in the main room. We usually leave the door open a crack to catch whatever breeze there is. It’s a simple setup where we focus on the tasks at hand without a lot of fuss. Most of us have been here long enough that we know where everything is, even if it looks a bit disorganized to an outsider.
