About Furniture Regalia Inc – Furniture in Bengaluru
Number 6 Rajajinagar is where we spend most of our waking hours. It’s a solid neighborhood with a lot of history, and we feel like we fit right in. The shop at Furniture Regalia isn't like those big showrooms you see in malls. It’s a bit cramped because we try to fit as many pieces as possible onto the floor. There is usually a layer of fine sawdust on the back tables where we do the touch-ups. The front door stays open to let the air circulate, though that means we get some of the noise from the street. We’ve got a few old ceiling fans that creak a bit when they’re on high speed. Customers usually just wander in from the sidewalk. We don't follow them around or try to push anything on them. We just let them sit on the chairs and feel the wood for themselves. Most of our furniture is heavy, so moving things around is a two-person job and usually involves a lot of grunting and maneuvering through narrow gaps. We have a small sink in the back for washing up after a long day of moving stock. It’s a simple life of wood, fabric, and local people. We don't have a website that’s updated every day or a fancy marketing plan. We just open the shop, talk to the neighbors, and sell some furniture that we think is decent.
