Friction Elements

We are over here at No. 16, 3Rd Cross in Hal 2Nd Stage. If you know Indiranagar, you probably know how busy it gets around these parts. Friction Elements has been tucked away on this street for a while now. Most days it’s just us handling the usual stuff related to brake linings and parts that help things stop or start without grinding too much. It’s not fancy work, honestly. It gets a bit loud with the machinery and there is usually some dust on the floor by noon, but that is just how it goes when you are working with these kinds of materials. We have a small crew and most of us have been here long enough to know the smells of the shop by heart. It is mostly about getting the specs right so things fit like they are supposed to. Sometimes the traffic outside makes it hard for deliveries to get in, but we manage. People stop by asking for specific bits for their machines and we go through the bins to find what is needed. It’s a lot of metal and friction, obviously, hence the name. We keep the doors open when it gets too hot inside. Nothing special, just a bunch of folks working on parts that most people never see until they stop working. We like the neighborhood even if parking is a nightmare. Usually, someone is making tea around four o’clock and that’s about the only break we take.
