Fort Furniture is over at 69/A Vijaya Nagar. We are located pretty close to the Shanimahathma Temple, which makes it easy for folks to find us when they’re in the neighborhood. We’ve got all sorts of pieces packed into the showroom. It’s a bit crowded sometimes, but that’s just how it goes when you’re dealing with tables and chairs. I spend a lot of my time moving things around to make more room. The temple brings a lot of people by on certain days, so the street gets pretty busy. We’ve been in Vijaya Nagar for a good while. It’s a nice area to work in. I usually have some sawdust on my clothes by the end of the day. We aren't trying to be one of those high-end boutiques you see in the mall. This is just a practical shop for people who need furniture that works. Sometimes the wood smells really strong when a new shipment comes in. My hands are usually a bit rough from moving the heavy stock. We just show people what we have and let them decide. It's straightforward work. If you need something for your house, we probably have it tucked away somewhere in the back. The building is simple, nothing flashy on the outside. We just keep doing what we do every day, helping people find a good chair or a sturdy table for their home without any big sales talk.
