Down here on D N Mhatre Road in Horamavu, things get started pretty early at Foods Factory Pvt Ltd. You can usually hear the machines hum before the sun is even fully up. We’ve been running this place for a while, and it’s always a bit of a rush to get everything ready for the day. Our space isn't like those huge industrial parks you see on TV; it’s more of a practical setup where every inch of floor space is used for something. We spend a lot of time checking bags and making sure the supplies are coming in on time. Sometimes the delivery trucks get stuck on the narrow parts of the road, which throws our whole schedule off, but we just deal with it. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting crates and moving stuff around the floor. We wear our uniforms, but they usually get a bit dusty by midday. Most of us live nearby, so we just walk or bike into work. Lunch is usually eaten together in the small break area we have out back. We don't have a PR person or anyone like that to talk for us. We’re just a group of people making sure the food gets processed and sent out. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes even Sundays if there is a big order to finish up. We just keep our heads down and work.
