Fono Mobile

Fono Mobile is situated on Mahathma Gandhi Road at number 17. Being on MG Road means we are right in the middle of all the action. There is a constant crowd of people walking past our windows, and the energy level is pretty high from the moment we open until we close at night. Our shop is where people come when their phone screens break or when they just want a new case to change how their device looks. We handle a lot of repairs, which is delicate work that requires a lot of concentration. You need steady hands and a bit of patience to deal with those tiny screws and thin ribbon cables inside a modern phone. The shelves are lined with boxes of chargers, earphones, and various accessories that people are always looking for. It gets pretty loud in here when the shop is full of customers all asking questions at the same time. We try to keep things as organized as we can, but on busy Saturdays, it is definitely a challenge. The guys behind the counter have been working with mobiles for a long time, so they can usually figure out what is wrong with a device pretty quickly. We have seen everything from phones dropped in water to software that just won't load. Working on MG Road means you meet all kinds of people, from tourists to local office workers, and we just focus on getting their devices fixed.
