Firoz Sea Food

Down on Kundalahalli ITPL Road at number 47, you’ll find us at Firoz Sea Food. The mornings start really early for us, way before the sun is even up properly. We spend a lot of time dealing with ice blocks and heavy crates coming off the trucks. The floor is almost always wet because that is just part of the job when you’re handling fresh fish. It is a busy spot on the ITPL road and the traffic can get pretty bad outside our door. Inside, we are usually busy cleaning things up or setting out what came in that morning. We don’t have fancy displays or bright lights, just the cold counters and the scales. It can get a bit smelly, but that is natural for a fish place. The staff here has been working with seafood for years, so they know how to handle the knives pretty well. We see a lot of the same faces every week, people coming from the nearby houses to get something for dinner. It is a straightforward business. We get the fish in, we get it ready, and we sell it. There isn't much time for sitting around. By the time the evening rolls around, we are usually tired and ready to wash down the whole place for the next day. It’s hard work but it is what we do to keep things moving.
