Our office is on the 4th Floor at 410 Mahathma Gandhi Road. It is right in the middle of everything. Being on the fourth floor means we get a bit of exercise since the lift doesn't always feel like working. We deal with money and numbers all day long. It can be a bit dry, but someone has to do it. The desks are covered in ledgers and calculators. We’ve been at this spot for a long time, watching the street below change. MG Road is always moving, but up here it’s a bit quieter. We have some old filing cabinets that have seen better days. It’s just a few of us working here, trying to keep everyone’s finances in order. We don't have fancy decorations, just some calendars on the walls. People come in looking for help with their taxes or their business accounts. We sit down, have a glass of water, and get to work. It’s a steady pace. Sometimes we stay late when the month is ending to make sure everything adds up. You can hear the city noise faintly from the windows. It’s a good place to work because we are close to everything we need. We just take it one day at a time and keep the books straight for everyone who comes through our door. The light is quite good in the mornings before the sun moves around the building.
