Farzi Cafe

We are located up on the 2nd floor of the UB City Mall on Vittal Mallya Road. It’s a busy part of Bangalore, so there’s always something going on around us. The cafe is a place where we spend a lot of time making sure the tables are set and the kitchen is ready for the rush. It’s a bit different from the street shops because we are inside the mall, but it still feels like a local spot once you step inside. The staff is usually running around between the kitchen and the seating area. We have a lot of windows, so you can see out while you sit. It gets quite loud during the dinner hours when everyone is talking at once. We don't try to be too formal about things. It’s more about having a place to sit down after walking around the mall. The lighting is a bit dim in the evenings. We spend our mornings cleaning up from the night before and getting the supplies delivered. It’s a lot of work behind the scenes that people don’t really see. Sometimes the elevator to the second floor is slow, but we are right there once you get off. We’ve been here for a while and have seen many people come and go through the mall doors. It’s just our daily routine in this corner of Bangalore. We keep the music going and the coffee brewing. Most of us have worked here for years and we know the mall inside and out by now.
