We operate out of 47 Church Street, which is right by Brigade Road. It’s a hectic area, especially on weekends, but we’ve gotten used to the energy of it. We make and sell food products, nothing too complicated, just stuff people like to eat. The building we’re in has been here a long time, and you can tell by the way the stairs creak. We aren’t some massive factory with thousands of workers. It’s just a group of us trying to get the orders out on time. Sometimes the kitchen gets really hot, and things get a bit messy, but that’s just how cooking goes on a larger scale. We spend a lot of time checking ingredients and making sure everything tastes like it should. We don’t have fancy ads or big slogans. Most people find out about us just by walking past or hearing about our snacks from a friend. Living and working in this part of town means there is never a dull moment. We see all kinds of people every day. We’ve had days where everything goes wrong—a machine breaks or a delivery is late—but we just pick up and keep going. It’s a simple business built on hard work and staying late to finish the batches. We just want to make good food that people enjoy and keep our little spot running on Church Street for as long as we can.
