Our shop is at 19603 in Rabrindranath Tagore Nagar, though most people just call it RT Nagar. It’s a busy neighborhood with a lot of houses and small shops. Since we deal with furniture, the space is always full of things like wooden frames, chairs, and tables in various stages of being finished. There is always the smell of sawdust and varnish in the air, which we don’t even notice anymore, but visitors usually mention it. We have a small area in the front where we show some completed pieces, and the back is where most of the actual work happens. It’s a bit messy with tools and wood scraps scattered around, but that’s just the nature of the job. We don't have a big showroom with bright lights. It’s more of a workshop where you can see how things are made. People from the neighborhood often stop by just to see what we are working on or to ask if we can fix an old stool or table they have at home. We spend a lot of time on our feet, moving heavy items and measuring things out. The street outside is usually full of parked bikes and people walking to the market. We've been in RT Nagar for quite a while now and we know many of the faces that pass by our door every day. It’s a good place to work, even if it gets a bit loud and dusty sometimes.
