F G Fabrications is situated on the Sunkadakatte Vigneshwara Nagar Main Road. We are directly opposite the Arunodaya School, so you can usually hear the kids during their break times while we are working. Our shop is full of welding equipment, cutters, and piles of metal scrap. We do all sorts of fabrication work, mostly focused on things like gates, window grills, and small structural frames for people in the neighborhood. It is a very hands-on job and our clothes are usually covered in soot or iron filings by the end of the day. We don't have a showroom or anything like that. If people want to see what we do, they just walk into the workshop and look at what is currently on the stands. It’s loud and there are sparks flying around, so it’s not the most comfortable place for a long talk. We just get the measurements, cut the steel, and weld it together until it looks right. Sometimes we have to work outside on the pavement if the piece is too big to fit comfortably inside the shop. It is hard work and the sun beats down on the metal, making it hot to touch, but it's what we know how to do. We just keep our heads down and finish the jobs as they come. It’s a messy place, but we get the work done in the end.
