Extrusion Tech

Working in Peenya 8th Main is always interesting because of how busy the industrial estate gets. We are located in the Lakshmi Venkateshwara Industrial Estate area. It’s a bit of a maze back here with all the trucks and workshops, but we’ve been in this unit for some time. The machines make a lot of noise throughout the shift. Our floors have those permanent oil stains that you just can't get out no matter how much you scrub. It’s a practical workspace, not a showroom. We spend most of our time looking at blueprints or checking the output from the extrusion lines. It gets pretty hot in the summer months under the metal roof. Most of the guys have been working here for years and we know exactly how each machine behaves. Sometimes a part breaks and we have to spend the afternoon fixing it ourselves. It's not a glamorous job, but it's what we do. We don't have a fancy reception desk or a secretary. If someone comes by, usually one of us just wipes our hands on a rag and walks over to the gate. People usually find us by looking for the specific unit number near the main road. It's just a bunch of us doing technical work in a small corner of Peenya 4. We stick to our schedule and try to get the orders out on time. That's the way it goes.
