Express 2 Bhojan

You’ll find us inside the Indian Express Building at number 1/12 on Queens Road. It’s a very central spot in Bangalore, right in the 560001 area. We serve food to the people who work in the building and those passing by on Queens Road. It gets very busy around lunchtime. We start early in the morning to get everything prepped and ready. It’s a lot of chopping and cooking in a small space. We don’t have a big dining hall with waiters. It’s more of a quick-service kind of thing. People come in, get their food, and go. We focus on making sure the food is ready on time. We’ve been here for a while and know many of our customers by name. They work in the offices nearby and come to us every day. We don’t spend money on advertising. Word of mouth is how people find us. The kitchen is the heart of our place. It’s hot and noisy, but we like the energy. We just try to keep the line moving and the plates full. It’s a simple setup, nothing fancy. We just do our best to get through the lunch rush and then we clean up for the next day. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do. By the time we finish, our aprons are messy and we're tired, but the pots are empty. We just lock up the shutters and head back to our families. It’s a good routine that keeps us all busy.
