Expo Design

Our office is in the Kr. Mahadev Patel Building, at number 33. Expo Design has been based here for quite some time now. It’s an older building, which we actually like. It has some character, even if the stairs are a bit steep and the elevator is slow. Inside, we have our drafting tables and computers set up. We spend a lot of time looking at blueprints and material samples. It’s not always exciting work. There’s a lot of checking and re-checking. We aren't a high-pressure firm. We take our time to make sure things are right. Sometimes we argue over colors or layouts, but it’s all part of the process. The building can be a bit noisy during the day with all the other businesses around, but we’ve gotten used to it. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. If you come by, one of us will just look up from our desk and say hello. We prefer it that way. It’s a practical space for practical work. We’ve seen a lot of changes in the industry over the years, but we just keep doing what we know how to do. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe our work. We just design things and hope they turn out well. It’s a living, and we’re glad to be doing it here. We just show up and do our best every single day.
