Executive (Human Resource Dept.)

We've been at Prashanthi Nivas for a while now, up on the 3rd floor. Most people get a bit confused finding the 9th Cross in Jagdishnagar because the lanes all look the same, but we're right there near HAL 3rd Stage. It's a busy little spot. Our department handles all the hiring stuff and paperwork that keeps the place running. It’s mostly just us at our desks, talking to people and checking resumes. Sometimes the lift acts up, so we end up taking the stairs to the 102 unit. It’s not a fancy office with glass walls or anything. We have some old filing cabinets and too many folders. Dealing with people all day is tiring but it keeps things interesting. Bangalore traffic makes it hard for folks to get here on time for interviews, but we try to be patient. We drink a lot of tea while sorting out payroll and employee issues. It's just normal work, really. Nothing too flashy. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years. The weather in this part of town is usually decent, though. We usually start around ten in the morning. Someone usually brings snacks from the local bakery. We spend a lot of time on the phone. If you walk past the 1st Main, you'll see the building easily enough. It’s a quiet place to get work done, away from the main road noise. We just focus on getting the right people into the right roles without making a big fuss about it. We’ve got a small balcony where we sometimes stand to get a bit of air when the office feels a bit stuffy from all the paper. It's just a normal workplace with normal people.
