Euro Kids School

You can find us over at E 56, Sri Nirvana Swamy Nilaya on 60 Feet Road. Being near Draupadamma Circle means there is always something going on outside, but once you step inside the gates of the Gopala Gowda Extension area, it calms down a bit. We have set up the school in a way that works for the small children who come here. There are little tables and chairs that are just the right size for them. The floors are kept clean because the kids spend so much time crawling or sitting on them. We have some posters on the walls showing alphabets and animals that have been there for a few years now. The morning routine is always the same, with parents pulling up at the gate and handing over lunch boxes. It gets a bit chaotic during the rainy season when everyone is trying to stay dry under umbrellas. We spend a lot of time helping with buttons and shoelaces. The rooms are bright enough during the day, so we don't always need the lights on. It is a busy life here in the extension, and we are just a small part of it. We don't have any grand speeches about what we do. It is mostly just making sure the kids have their juice, take their naps, and learn a few songs before they go home to their parents at the end of the day. Sometimes we have to mop the floors twice when it's muddy outside.
