Essential Modular Furniture

We are over at 15 Jalahalli Western Industrial Estate. It’s a busy place with a lot of noise from the other factories nearby. Essential Modular Furniture has been operating here for a good while. The workshop is usually full of wood panels and metal frames. We spend most of our time measuring things and making sure they fit together properly. It’s not a fancy showroom with bright lights. Most of the floor is covered in sawdust by noon. We have a few guys who handle the cutting and the edge banding. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend the morning fixing them. That’s just part of life in an industrial area. People come to us when they need a desk or some cabinets that aren’t the standard size you find in big stores. We do all the assembly ourselves right here on the floor. The delivery truck comes in and out a few times a week. It can be hard to find our unit if you don't look for the number 15 on the gate. The office is just a small corner with a couple of chairs and a lot of sketches pinned to the wall. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything. It’s just us making furniture that works. You can hear the saws from the street when we are busy. It’s practical work and we stay pretty occupied with local orders from the city.
