Eskay Industries

We’ve been at A-1 in the Rajajinagar Industrial Estate for a good while. This part of Bangalore has changed a lot since we started, but our little corner remains pretty much the same as it always was. It’s a standard industrial unit with a heavy metal door that’s a bit squeaky on its hinges. Inside, we have our machinery set up in a way that makes sense to us, even if it looks a bit cluttered to an outsider. We spend our days measuring, cutting, and checking various parts. There’s always a fine layer of metal dust on the shelves, no matter how much we sweep up at the end of the day. The neighbors are mostly small workshops like ours, and we occasionally borrow tools or help each other out. It’s a friendly enough atmosphere for a workspace. We don’t have any fancy meeting rooms or air-conditioned offices. If someone stops by to talk, we just chat right there on the shop floor. The light is okay near the front entrance, but it gets a bit dark towards the back where we keep the raw materials stacked up. We usually have a pot of tea going somewhere near the back desk. It’s not the kind of place you’d see in a glossy magazine, but it’s where we do our work. We just focus on the task at hand and try to keep the old machines in decent shape so they don't break down when we need them.
